Dreaming about my wedding day, instead of studying for finals.
This isn't actually the dress!! It's so dreamy, though, and I wish I could have a million weddings just so I could wear all the wedding dresses. I never thought I'd be such a girly girl with dreams of a perfect princess wedding, but wedding planning does weird things to your brain!
This was just for some fun with my friend Courtney – oh man, this was an adventure. We climbed down from the road to this gorgeous little creek, but it was the beginning of April, so it was still way too chilly out to be pulling this kind of stunt. I got a little bit too confident and my foot slipped off a rock and into the freezing water, and I did the rest of this shoot with one cold and soggy sock! Courtney was a total trooper, standing in the knee-deep creek (in jeans and boots and socks, no less!) to get the perfect shot. Totally worth it, don't you think?
I'm really loving this new hair color, by the way! I'm sure you guys have seen my ridiculous hair adventures – most recently it was pastel pink. The pink was fading and my roots were getting unmanageably long, so I decided to just go dark to hide them. It's a semi-permanent dye, because I just know I'll get bored of this sooner or later (most likely sooner, knowing me). I did an off-black instead of a true jet black because I thought it would look more natural... joke's on me, it turned my locks this dark, dark turquoise. Gotta say, though, I love it. It looks black unless there's direct light, and even then it's a really subtle effect. I love that I'm getting the contrast of super dark hair against my rather pale skin, but it's still a fun unnatural color.
What do you guys think of my new hair? Love it? Hate it? And what color should I go next?
Drop me a line here or on instagram, I'd love to hear from you!
